Calabasas horse trainer Chris D. CervantesChris is a graduate of the Meredith Manor International Equestrian Center, and holds a Level IV Riding Masters Certification and Level II Teaching Certification.  He competed on the USEF/MHJA circuit for 10 years and also on the California Dressage Society circuit.

He is an aspiring equestrian stunt double and is experienced in starting and training young horses.  He is currently starting Roxy, a four-year-old rescued thoroughbred mare.

He has worked for Far West Farms since 2010, teaching and riding for their riding school and training barn.

Chris’ lesson program has a solid dressage foundation that transitions naturally into jumping straight and in balance.  He is totally committed to the best interests of our clients, and makes student safety a top priority.  Plus, he’s pleasant and fun to ride with!

Honors and Awards

Recipient of 2012 United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) Trainer Certification Program Zone 10.  This award is given to selected candidates to  further their education in the Hunter/Jumper sport.  Only one candidate per zone is honored with this award each year.
